• Co-directed Project iCampus, the MIT/Microsoft Alliance for Research in Educational Technology
• Served as a Phi Beta Kappa visiting scholar for 2003-2004.
• Worked on an experimental version of MIT's introductory circuit theory course.
• Advisor for Cambridge University's Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technologies
• Served on MIT's Committee on Outside Professional Activities
• Worked on MIT's release of PGP
